Intelligent lighting system: proposal for its implementation in cold areas
Abstract
The foundations are presented for the development of an intelligent and autonomous lighting system (for a luminaire with three LED modules of 10W each, energized by a 12 V battery), designed for operation in areas of very low temperatures. Its efficiency is achieved through the Arduino Nano 3.0 device, for whichan algorithm is developed that controls the different subsystems involved. It is proposed the design of a system for its application in places of difficult access, without electric service coverage, allowing the lighting of perimeters, fences, roads, accesses, etc. The surplus heat of the luminaires is transferred to the accumulator, which will allow it to maintain it at a suitable temperature for its operation. As a result, a minimum or basic luminosity will be obtained during the hours of nocturnal lighting, but increasing its luminous flux in the presence of a vehicle, person or object moving on roads or obliged steps.
