Axiology of the word. The value of dialogue, as an ontological foundation, as a human bond and as a pedagogical resource
Abstract
The value of the word is proposed as a central
element of all educational practice; this centrality is
given by an ontological foundation, since the word,
as a dialogue-conversation, is rooted in the very
structure of being.
This study has examined the Socratic Mayeutics,
the Platonic Dialogue, Edith Stein’s Anthropology,
Martin Buber’s Dialogical Philosophy and Rafael
Echeverria’s Ontology of Language. The purpose of
it is to reflect on the dialogical character of human
structure, the premise of every educational act and
of every reflection on it.
We consider that education seeks, today more than
ever, a philosophical reflection; beyond the changes
of paradigms, the technological irruptions and the
remnants of that «instrumental reason» inherited
from modernity. Every time we believe it has been
surpassed, it emerges again with all its instinct of
survival. Rethinking «Education», to connect with
the deep sense of the teaching practice.
