Acerca de la unidad científica de la Psicología
Abstract
Theorizing theory is difficult given the complexity of science, and it implies an epistemological stance. Based on the concept of metascience and the difference between primary and secondary discourse, We understand «psychology» rather than «psychologies». Science (primary discourse): set of psychological theories. Metascience (secondary discourse): Psychology emerging from persistent critical search for unity thorough complementation, inclusion and exclusion. Each theory studies and thoroughly analyzes one aspect of mental processes and the manifestations thereof, made complex by the relationship of soma and world. We are persons because of the ontogenic and ontological complexity constituting us. Theoretical isolation has degraded the discipline, considering the field of ideas to be property of a specialty. We intend to correct the situation by promoting new cognitive schema and hypotheses, combining organizational articulations between theories and building a metatheoretical frame that integrates the main perspectives into a consistent whole.
